Hello world!!
This is my first ever post on my very own blog.
Or, to be more precise it is my second post, since being rather inexperienced, I naturally deleted the whole thing.
So here goes: My name is Måns Rinne (not sure, but you might need a scandinavian keyboard/somesuch to read that properly), and I live with my fiancée in a two-storey apartment in Espoo, Finland. In actual fact Espoo is more a suburb of Helsinki than anything, which again is our nations capital.
Those of you who have been reading the blog of my very close friend, who is also my dear sysadmin, will know that my site has been in the works for quite a while. The biggest problem was with content. What to publish on the web so that I don’t seem like a complete dork..? (As if that’s avoidable anyway…)
After about a year of deliberating on this noteworthy dilemma I decided, at Kris’s admonishment, to start off with a nice little blog. So here we are. With a blog.
I was thinking I might have some sort of features too, like “recipe of the month” that would showcase Scandinavian foods, like pancake. No, not the flat little flaps that pass for pancakes around the world, but a REAL pancake made in the oven! Yummy… Look for that in the near future.
Mostly though, this blog will be about fitness, weight training and all things related.
Currently, my own system of training tends to lean towards the “old-school”, as perhaps the title of this blog might hint to the observant reader… I feel that the way it was before powerlifting and bodybuilding were separated is the way to go for me. My main idea in training has always been about staying healthy and fit while becoming stronger. Musclemass is secondary, although I do have to admit I do like the way I look these days much better than before, in my martial arts days.
The health aspect has also kept me off the anabolics, and will. Until the day when they come up with something that is legal, is taken orally (I can’t stand needles) and has no side-effects whatsoever. Then, maybe, I’ll consider it… =)
Anyway, welcome to my blog! Hope you’ll enjoy my inane ramblings to the point where you’ll comment every now and again. Also, any suggestions as to what would be nice to see on a blog are welcome.

First comment, bwahahaaa!
May your blogging adventure be full of joy and remember to get some sleep too (look who’s talking). One more blog to monitor, but I think this one will be more than worth it… See you in the gym!
